the main selling point to me was the flexible attachment point. Not everyone is the same size as the mold of others like TREX Arms and the like. Plus i can remove the mag holder when needed.

    Finally.

In other news, I sent in my modification app on Sunday for a weapon add. I am curios to see how long that will take.

Gah, I miss living up north where I could actually get a permit. More stupid BS happens down here than up there, and its a no go to get a permit.. absurd.

Just got a 1924 Colt Huntsman 22 semi-auto handgun. Inherited it from my Dad. Looking forward to cleaning it and punching a few holes in some paper.

That's a cool little gun, it's nice to have a small .22 in the hunting pack.

Hate to break it to you.....there is not a snowballs chance in hell you will get a CCW in Alameda County. I suggest you move if want one bad enough.

There is a Map of CA with the counties listed showing ease of CCW process. I cannot link due to being at work. Do a search for it.

This is a good source of info:

    **Edit**

    Also:
    https://www.alamedacountysheriff.org/admin_ia_ccw.php

Based on the text of the second, looks like it will be quite teh fight, I think there are something like 200 issued permits in Alameda, the bay area in general is a near impossible task to receive a permit...

Active duty should help your case a little but Alameda is terrible with issuing CCWs. Definitely check out calguns for CCW and go to Alameda thread for the best info.

I have yet to shoot an H&K but they're so damn beautiful

So... I have been living under a rock and need to educate myself on the new assault rifle laws. Does anyone have the cliff notes? I have an AR15 with the bullet button.

In a nutshell (PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THIS, I AM NOT A LAWYER):

If you have a featured rifle (Flash hider, adj. stock, pistol grip, removable mag w bullet button or otherwise without taking apart the action, etc) it is considered an *fake word alert* assault rifle. The bullet button used to be considered fixing the magazine, it no longer is that way.

    Options as of today:

    • Register your weapon with Ca, and enjoy your featured rifle with a slew of AW transport restrictions, as well as not being able to hand it down to kids etc (or sell in state). Note, the system to do this STILL isn't up and working, and all reg is supposed to be done by end of year.
    • Go featureless: Remove all the scary parts that are apparently offensive to someone somewhere and not have to register .
    • In between: Convert your rifle to fixed mag where you have to disassemble the action in order to remove. There are a variety of products coming to market to do this in a variety of ways.
I have probably forgotten a detail or 5, best bet is to go read at calguns.

i had a raddlock bullet button previously, i just picked up their fixed mag option that attaches to the existing raddlock bullet button. Making my AR a fixed magazine thus bypassing registration and the other crap.

I agree, I do love it here, but I can only take so much more ..

The side feed stripper clips from MA are an interesting option for the fixed mag, damn expensive though
