Thanks, surprised it came from Remington with the Magpul stock already. Got it in 308, I was going back and forth between the 6.5 creed and 308 so just chose 308

So I have a bunch of 357 and 44 magnum brass that I'm not sure what to do with. Any reloaders here want them?

If no one wants them can I just recycle them? Drop them off at the range?

Picked up my first firearm last week as a bday gift to myself. Aero Precision AR. Can't wait to shoot it... Anyone know if I can still go out to a BLM land for target shooting?

Solid decision for your first firearm man. For what they are, I actually think Aero precision underprices most of their stuff; their tolerances and craftsmanship are on par with some of the higher end stuff in the AR world.

Also, I can't say for certain and I'm damn sure not an attorney, but you're probably fine to go plink on some BLM land. Short of a federally mandated quarantine, you're golden there.

Didn't even realize something like that was legal in CA. Happy belated B-day!

Thanks! I didn’t know either until I did some research a couple months ago. Basically I was limited to 2 options -

    1. Fixed mag (Can’t eject mag unless you separate upper from lower)

    2. Featureless (No pistol grip, fixed stock)

I opted for a fixed mag. My rifle has a button that allows me to crack the upper receiver about 2mm. Only then I’m able to eject the mag. It’s a silly loophole around the fixed mag regulation but it’s perfectly legal... for now.

That makes me really glad to hear. I originally wanted a 1911 for my first gun but I decided that I’ll get a lot more enjoyment from a rifle. What’s a well known, premium brand for rifles?

Very cool. Didn't know that at all. Imagine you're happy you secured it when you did. Can't even buy a firearm now in CA (non-essential business).

I had been wanting to pickup a shotgun months and months ago, just never got around to it. Oh well.
