Thanks Nat, I really think thats the way to go. Do you still have both in your rig? Some of the meets I've been too it seems like a limited number of ham users and a fair amount have citizens. Do you think I can use this CB as a secondary to a ham, or is it outdated? The more I think about it it I want to run both. thanks in advance all!

Also...I know you all have done this so often but is anyone from this area willing to help me install my new Brute Force front plate in a couple weeks? I told the fiance she had to bulk up to help. She plans the wedding and I plan mods.

Most of the wheeling trips I've been on people have CBs only, so that's what I got. I'm planning on doing ham sometime in the future, though.

Thanks Kevin, I've been in the same boat. I went on a trip with some of the T4R guys and they all had CB. Plus, If you travel down the 5 to SD, the CB is better than a radio station, the truckers are funny as hell! Yep gonna run both!

Hahaha, you make that trip, too?
It's weird, though, I never hear truckers on the radio. I usually only hear people with full on stations skipping or talking in clubs, especially in Stockton and Sacramento. :notsure:

Yeah I got it done maybe a week ago, wish it was clearer. But thanks appreciate it!

With the fiberglass I kinda figured

What mods are you looking to get done? I don't think one shop can do everything

Hey so a buddy was talking to me about guys using C02 canisters for an arb locker instead of using a compressor. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

I have a Yaesu 7900 Ham radio permanently mounted in the Taco. I might get a CB like the Cobra 75 wx st. Ham is so much more superior than CB it isn't even funny. Even the cheap handheld units are better than a CB. This past weekend I was in Trinity County at my folks ranch. We were exploring routes down to the Trinity River. I could radio them no matter where I was and what was in the line of sight.

Yep. The air just activates the locker, it doesn't flow through it. Seen it done with Powertanks.

Just a reputable shop preferably in Chico even for routine maintenance. I change my own oil/plugs etc. but would like a shop to look over my ball joints brake lines and hoses for example. I am about to hit 60K and there are certain aspects of the 60K checkup that I just do not have the time/means to do myself. Future mods include a 3" lift...maybe Ultimate kit. Could do some of that work but not all. Any suggestions appreciated.

I live and go to school in Chico. So far I've had great luck with a shop called Younique Auto... Good services and great pricing on the things you can't do yourself.

I have both. I still find on TW trail runs more folks have CB than Ham.

^^^^ This! I keep a handheld cb for runs, and I have a mag mount whip if I need it. But 99% of people I normally wheel with all have ham. You will be happier with ham...
