Thanks Felipe. I had a local fab (hot metal fab) bend the tubes how I wanted and cut the plates. He tacked it up and I welded it together.

Do any of you know of a place or maybe have the skills yourself to help me custom install these items?

    I have a 2015 Access Cab.

The Yaesu product will just be the faceplate. The rest will go under a seat or in the back somewhere. I was looking to mount them both in the space under the radio. I can order a DIN sleeve for the scanner if it would help. Also need to mount 2 external speakers. I am willing to use the cup holder space if needed.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

That sucks, was it just the standard mag release or? Another thing when you install your BB use some blue locktite on the threaded portion around the inner button. Mine came loose one day while shooting:eek:

    Yeah i think so.
My buddy explained the differences and showed me how easy it would be to release the mag with the current BB but lolfelony.
And okay gotta remember the locktite, i dont want that thing coming undone.

Im so excited, so close to being able to shoot it.
I wanna buy a new stock with a storage compartment too, maybe a scope down the road.

ARs are one of the funest guns to shoot, I love mine.

We keep talking about doing a TW shoot, but keep lagging on it maybe next month we should plan something. Possibly a camp/shoot/wheeling trip.

Saw a sweet silver second gen today. Looked like a palfrey built front bumper and a bedrack that looked tall enough to accommodate soft shell underneath. About 1pm off Saratoga ave

I'm actually getting the 8900 sooner or later, that's going to live inside one of the two sunglasses pockets in the roof. Originally it was going to be a 350AR, but I decided I wanted the 8900Rs frequency range over the 350ARs APRS.

My Uniden 980 goes inside my glove, so no room for the transceiver there.

If you want to wire it up easily, it's just pulling apart the panels and laying down some wires, there're a lot of self-help pages in the technical forums. I just used a fuse tap for my CB. It's temporary until I get a fuse panel setup for the rest of the stuff I'll be installing.

Check out Barlowrs' full build thread though. He has his speakers for both CB and HAM coming out of his transmission wall which is kind of nice so that you can hear everything.

BJMoose was also influenced "heavily" by his build, check that out here:

Thanks for the information. I found Everything Radios in W. Sac. I would guess that is who you used?

Thanks for the links! I have already looked at the install threads you mentioned. Both installs were great. In no hurry to get my stuff installed but will hopefully do a write-up for it too.

Two 1995 MR2's(one NA one turbo), one 03 with a shifting linkage issue and my dirty little 05...

This was just after I arrived at the shop this morning to deliver the 95 NA to the customer.

Oh, and one rusty old 68 'rolla under going a 4AGE swap. And a basket case Pantera...

Hmmmm, I guess I still don't know how to use the multi quote feature. Well. this is for the fellas who liked the butt shot of the Spyder.
