    Party pooper! :p

K now for a serious question. '06 trd sport 4x4. How many zerk fittings am I looking for to grease? I've only found 3. I know there's more.
Edit: Looks like I completely missed the one in front. Yay for having to take off my skid plate!

Gotta say that NB 680 from the South Bay was a piece of cake. Went to Livermore to see 2016.

Anyway. Radio says new projected opening for the freeway is 5PM. Also, SO found a car related to the shooting. At least one of the suspects is dead.

Saw a nice lifted silver taco. Cool bumper-getting off EB 580 just before hwy 84.

The officer stopped a Jeep on a traffic related issue. Yes, a JEEP. He pulled in front of the vehicle because there was another CHP vehicle that stopped behind him. And when he went to the Jeep the driver just pulled out a gun and shot him. The officer in the other car shot at the bad guy. They rushed both to Mt Diablo hosp where the bad guy died.

The officer is now on life support, not expected to live and the family is now saying their goodbyes.

Unless he just passed away, according to Ian's post ^^^

A number of my teachers in paramedic school work in Stockton. Lots of stories from there.

I was also in Stockton today meeting with a client.

On another note, I hope that the CHP officer pulls through. Very bad day for CHP. People talk trash about them for being highway cops, but traffic stops are one of the most dangerous aspects of law enforcement.

    Edit:
They were both taken to John Muir in Walnut Creek (Trauma Center). The other vehicle they located was not involved in the shooting, it was a woman who was pulled over prior to the shooting, by the injured officer, for a cell phone violation.

That officer and his family are in my prayers.

I haven't heard anything official (news, press release) except that he's on life support. What I heard is from another officer.

I found this on the web.

I sure hope that this is just a rumor like the article mentions.

Wooo. Got all my zerk fittings all greased up and cleaned. All my 30k maintenance is done and all my parts are installed. Tomorrow I'll finally be able to drive my truck after a week and a half of it sitting in the garage doing nothing. Just waiting on my sliders, leaf pack, and bump stops to get in. After that I start the saving game all over again for new wheels and tires :)
