I would suggest not doing that. Mostly familial reasons.

Depends on the family and whether there’s an attachment to the house. If she's doing it to help them get started she might be happier knowing they made something more of the opportunity. It sounded like one of several properties rather than the family home. But yeah, it could also be a bad idea for other reasons. Talking to her about it could clear the air quickly enough.

We were actually going to consider renting it out if we didn’t like it. That’s actually what her grandma is doing right now but she just wants to dump the property just to get a lump sum for her retirement home.

I think my GF would want to keep it long term since it’s the house she grew up in as a kid. Plus, owning some property would benefit us tax wise!

Sounds like you have some ideas. Good luck with them.

I grew up in Fresno and spent a good amount of time in Clovis (worked out there, friends out there, etc.) I don't know what's considered Clovis these days because there is endless sprawl down there. I'd rate life in the Fresno/Clovis area as fine, 5.5/10.

Cons: It's hot as fuck in the summer, the air sucks, you have to drive everywhere, and everyone thinks you live in a shit hole.
Pros: It's pretty safe, the cost of living is much lower than the bay area, and you're much closer to the mountains.

In some situations, equality matters more than family. I’ll leave it at that and say it sucks because being able to help someone is such a great thing and some may need more help than others.

My grandparents lived in Selma which is right next door to Fresno. They moved out 5 years or so ago because the crime started getting worse, but I'm sure Fresno is better.
Central valley heat is pretty brutal. Great wheeling right in your backyard though.

Hah! I would guess most people living there have a similar list.

When I visit my folks in Visalia in the winter on a clear day and you see the snow-capped sierras in all their glory it's absolutely stunning. But then you can't see the mountains at all in the summer because the air is so bad. And it seems to be getting worse with all the nut farms that have gone in.

Spotted in chico. I've never seen one of these before. Had to look it up and it looks like an "Amarok"? Also looks like a diesel motor (guessing by the yellow can on the back). Pretty cool setup and nice alu cab.

Who are the two other assholes(me being #3) that were driving across the richmond-San Rafael bridge around 6pm tonight? The guy in front started it and my girlfriend said we were all a bunch of dorks but I know we are so cool she can’t even comprehend

Can you even consider it a race when it’s between Tacoma’s?

I wouldn’t consider it racing because we stayed in line and didn’t pass one another. We just drove in a nice pretty line behind each other at the posted speed limit. Nothing more....lol

And obviously well below the speed limit.
