    Friends,

Some of you may have seen this on Instagram and Facebook already, but I know this will reach everyone.

My truck was stolen sometime on Sunday right from my apartment building back lot in Norfolk, VA, while I was gone. Truck was locked with both sets of keys still in my apartment, no signs of broken glass or anything. If any of you spot my truck or see or hear anything, please get in touch with me. Paul Styx 517-331-2544. I can also be reached on Facebook or Instagram @ptstyx15

The most current pictures I have are attached. The only difference is that the tent was not on the vehicle. There were, however, four (4) olive green Maxtrax mounted and locked on the roof rack as well as two Rotopax bases that would be sticking up slightly..

I know thieves will stop at nothing, and this is a brutal reminder of that for me but hopefully a helpful one for all of you. Make sure you take every reasonable precaution to prevent these things from happening, and make sure your insurance is up to date and adequate for your vehicle. Especially helpful is to have a rental car feature built into your policy as well as vehicle replacement. Additionally, even if you don't rent your home, it is wise to have a renter's or homeowner's insurance policy that will cover any belongings that might be inside the vehicle if this does happen to you. As I said, just advice that the wise will heed. Do with it how you see fit.

Thanks in advance to everyone. I have a bunch of "planned" modifications that most likely won't be happening anymore, so keep an eye out for a big for sale thread.

I wonder if they just pulled up with a flatbed and loaded it up, which would explain the no broken glass and key situation. That's surprising if that's the case, since Norfolk isn't exactly known for professional thieves.

Too close to home. Like I said on FB I will keep an eye out. I work for a local city and drive around a lot so if it's here and being joy ridden we will find it.

Wondered the same thing, but figured there is a comment that has been removed that caused the hammer to fall.

Couldn't have just pulled up with a flatbed. The back lot is not large enough for that. Barely enough to drive the truck itself in and out.

Also keep an eye out on the clist and any other buy/sell swapmeet sites in your area - you may find some of your mods on them.
