So I went to the dealership to get her inspected, finally after waiting forever they say they're done and I go to the desk. The guy says they finished but noticed I need new valve cover gaskets since they are leaking oil. He goes "If you have time we can get it in there today."

Then he gets to the estimate of what that would cost.....over $500

In my head I was like pfft F that. So I need to plan on doing that myself sometime this summer.

Yeah its a V6, it shouldn't be hard, just very time consuming.:(

I have to take off the intake plenums, remove vacuum tubes and a bunch of other stuff to get down there. I will probably replace my plugs while I am at it.

I take colored tape and put red on the tube and where it goes, blue to blue Ect. So I never mix them up when reinstalling them

Gonna do a hidden hitch cutout in the center of the bumper. It will be covered with the license plate on a sprung hinge with rubber bump stops.

Yeah, I just hate the puzzle of taking everything off. But hey, it gives me a reason to be under the hood this summer.

+1 for the great idea! I like that kind of thinking.

It's really not that bad. Different length bolts are the hardest part. Plug wires are easy since they are all pairs of 2, just write down the cylinders that go together.

Yeah man I know I can handle it. I'll probably just the different bolts in separate bins and label a piece of tape.

Back when I rebuilt (tried to at least) my Kawasaki I used masking tape and labeled the individual bolts that were specific
