So with the fall run of Striped Bass coming up I wanted to start this thread for TW fishermen posting there catches of what they used for tackle and pics of the catch
No need to post the specific spot.
What I would also like to see is where you set up camp on beaches like Montauk for over night trips Dying to get out there.
I myself am from Staten Island and we get a good run here
Posting a pic from the spring using bunker head But mostly use a top water plug.

I recently picked up a duplicator for my lathe , a lure dryer and paint booth so I am hoping to make some copies of the more high end plugs like ...GRS.. and D. mag If someone has a favorite plug they want to share or copy let me know... This is not to make make a profit on other builders plugs but to save money using a design proven to work to catch a few fish in the TW community.

Cape may during the spring run, caught on a Gulp! 6 inch chartreuse grub. I pour my own jigs.

Surf caster here but I target reds, blues, and sea trout on the OBX.

I like pencil and needles for long casting top water. Unless the blues are around this one is a Googooman

I was down your way on Porthmouth island in the spring. It was cool to see all the beach buggies camping on beach
We got blown out by a storm 12 oz weights wouldn't hold but still had a blast
    Going back next year

I'm from Pa and do a two week stint in Frisco (depending on if we can find a house or not) for the red run in October. Can't wait for this years trip. Last year had storm damage on the beaches (The Point specifically) and the ramps were closed for a good portion of the trip. We got a good blue run but only one drum. It was too small.

How do you work those pencil poppers? I've switched to lure fishing almost exclusively.

Google John Skinner. He has a lot of videos showing what lure to use and how to use it. He has a couple good books too. There are a few good seminars and show in the early spring time. A good magazine is On The Water

It looks like green is an effective color?

I've always been told white, chartreuse and pink are the primary colors to use.

I have to transfer my Salt gear to a new box. I'll snap some pics of my hardware when I do.

You probable heard the term "match the hatch" and that pretty much applies here too. Light colors work during the day and surprisingly dark works at night
Metal works as well as buck tails with or without a squid strip added to the buck tail
