I've been doing a lot of searching and am pretty sure I know my answer already and I'm 100000% fine if that's the case because I've got no problem selling and getting out of this hobby... but in general, is there ANYPLACE decent in say Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or even Wisconsin to run a baja prerunner type of truck? I'm talking a VERY heavily built truck. Not something with some bolt on shocks and a bumper. I built and desert race a Tacoma which is why I have my membership on this forum but it's not technically my truck. I have another offroad truck that makes our Tacoma look slow in the dirt and I'm fine with selling it but I'm basically going to be moving to Northern Mn here in a month or two. I'm taking the truck with me either way in hopes of getting a little bit of use out of it and am expecting to haul it back out to the southwest about a year from now to list for sale. But... "if" there was any place to get real use out of it back there I'd consider keeping it.

So that said... Anyplace's in the region at all to run a 600+hp offroad race truck basically that happens to be street legal? So far in my couple adventures I've had no luck in seeing anything other than down the ditch on the side of the roads and while the driveway jumps look epic!!! I'm sure that would get me in trouble instantly so looking for something a bit less likely to piss off an entire town in my adventures! LOL

    Thanks,
    Khris

Are you talking racing or just throwing dirt?

Just looking to throw dirt. The truck will likely be hauled back out to the southwestern US a year or two from now. My issue is life happens and things change. I'm mid "upgrade" I guess you can say but this life change trumps the truck build so it's simply going with me and getting finished once things settle down and I get my shop built early next year where I'm moving. But once the truck is done, "if" I could find a place to play with it a bit before I sell it to get out of it I might as well... It's not a toyota but it is a 650'ish hp chevy powered ford offroad truck. It was painted last week and I pickup the new motor for it in two weekends. But I also am in escrow on a house in Northern Mn and my house here in Vegas listed on the market today and expecting a fairly quick sale so moving possibly in 4-6 week window. Truck is simply getting moved rather than finished at this point. Next summer though, 2 weekends and the truck will be running and curious if there's ANYPLACE within like a 4-6 hour drive to play with it from Northern Mn essentially. If not, I'll hit the local small town car show scene with it and eventually sell it. No biggie... Just curious more than anything...

The Toyota I built and raced is attached because... Well... Tacoma forum... But truthfully I'm asking about places to use the F150 that's in the attached pics.

Ok gotcha then I don't really know of anywhere close, the only place I can think of to stretch those long legs is silver lake sand dunes in lower michagan.

That’s pretty much what I’m guessing the answer is going to be in general. And I’m fine with that like I said this was more out of curiosity than anything. I figure there’s almost always little car shows in the small towns and maybe next summer I’ll show it off a little bit and then get it back here to Las Vegas and sell it for its real value.
