    Weird.

Different strokes I suppose. I absolutely loved the ride at .85 with my stock coils. I loved it more at 1.75, but it drove like shit at that setting so it kinda sucked overall.

The link below will get you to the Ride Rite thread. My input starts at post #200, but read the whole thread. I don't do offroad, but installed the Daystar Cradles because I wanted to be able to jack up my frame and let the axles hang loose, something that isn't advisable without the cradles. There are no bad side effects to the cradle mod as far as I know.
The Ride Rites can be set to whatever floats your boat on ride comfort and lift. 20 lbs in mine lifted 1 1/2" , without a noticeable effect on the ride until you hit a speed bump which would bottom out most any car and many trucks, but not with Ride Rites.

Read the thread, as I'm just telling you stuff that's in there. I think my input there has info that's missing previously.

    None so far
I did the same exact thing you did bro. I had the front end higher and didn't like it. I added a leaf in the rear to level her out. I also have a shell on the back and she is fine. ONLY thing you'll have to do is spray some WD40 on them after install. Then tent to make some weird noises after

I am about to put on 5100's. I have a 2012 Dble cab 4x4. It has the factory 4 leaf pack. No other mods. Should I go with .85 or 1.75?

Yea I had to do this several times. I finally just got some grease and put it on the points that were squeaking and it solved the problem.

I just wanted to add that I deleted this earlier post, as I re-read the recall letter, and it says that you would have had to have a replacement prior to receiving the recall letter to get reimbursement.

Thanks for the link and all the info. I read through the thread and got a lot of good info. However, one question that never really seemed to be answered was the necessity of adding the axle extension to the bottom bracket. Is it necessary to have the bottom bracket reach the axle? If so, why? I currently have the factory springs, no tsb, with the Wheeler's 3 leaf progressive, so I'm assuming the bottom bracket wouldn't reach the axle on my set up if I were to go this route.
    Thanks.

Ryan, The center of the cradle is at the inside edge of the spring leaves, providing no support on the inside. It is true that with some applications, the original cradle mount does rest on the axle, but many do not, so the adapter leg is available for that reason, and can be cut down to fit your particular application. I do know of at least one installation in which the leg doesn't touch with no ill effects as yet, but it is a stress point, so you never know when or if it will fail.

    Click my build thread!
Hmm just bought wheelers 3 leaf pack about a month ago for this exact same reason, but I haven't installed them yet. I actually also ordered the 620LB eibach springs to go in the front because of my front bumper extra weight. So I was gonna drop my 5100's down to 0 or .85 from 1.75" and install the new coils and then put the AAL on and was gonna hope for around 2-2.5" all the way around. But after reading this I may still need a block or bags in the back to get the rear up a little more.

(Ground im parked on IS NOT level though in this pic)

This is parked on level ground though and doesn't look like the same sag only thing different was no steel bumper in front and different wheels and tires.

Hmmm. Ok, I guess I'm having a hard time picturing what you are talking about. By "cradle" do you mean the half moon shape at the bottom of the bracket? As far as support for the bottom bracket, I thought it being clamped with bolts to the leaf springs was its support system.... You'll have to forgive my ignorance, this is all new to me.

Ryan, The issue is that the top bag mount on the frame is not directly over the springs where the bottom mount is centered. The Ride Rite is designed for multiple applications, and the bottom mount has a leg that is intended to rest on the axle for support. The link below gets you to page 9, post 161 (picture), and 162 (picture). Picture 161 shows the cradle, a black bowl shaped receptacle for the bag, mounted half on/off the bottom mount. Pic 162 shows the leg of the bottom mount, just hanging out in thin air directly below the center of the cradle. That's the issue, addressed by the leg extension as pictured in my post 202 on page 11, also linked below.

OP- before you go buying more stuff for your truck, I suggest you post pictures of your front and rear suspension for us to look at to verify its installation. Based on what you've detailed, I'm still of the opinion that something isn't lifting as it should in the rear or is over lifting in the front.

Also, if possible, measure current settings then take off the shell and measure again and observe difference.

Yeah take a pic just to make sure. I have 2.5" eibach springs on 5100s set at 0 up front and the front end of my truck is not as high as yours at 1.75. I have the wheelers 3 leaf aal on the non tsb leafs and kept the overload in. I also have a leer 100xr canopy and it did not lower the rear end by much at all.

I'll be happy to post some pictures when I get home this evening. I'll take some measurements too. I won't be taking the camper on and off though, that sucker is about 250lbs and is hard wired for lighting and whatnot.

I just put in a Wheelers progressive AAL 3 days ago, and it gave me 1 1/4" in the rear.

Do you have a camper, or anything adding weight to the bed?
