Not sure if I want to buy UCA's AGAIN...

    Ok so heres the deal, a few months back I ordered my toytec ULK. I had originally planned on new upper control arms but fell apon a used set of TC's from a TW user for super cheap. I thought i had hit a good deal with them. Once installed i took them to get aligned and they said there isnt enough adjustment on the uca to get perfect alignment. Being a uni ball i dont really understand this. The coilovers are set at factory settings from toytec approx 2.5". They even took me out and showed me there wasnt enough adjustment. I did take it to two different shops BTW.

    So my question is: is it possible the used ucas were bent? worn? or any other ideas on this?

    Before the lift there wasnt any damage or anything to the truck and i bought it brand new so i know its not something from a previous owner.

    Total Chaos uni-ball. I just dont want to buy new UCA's and have it do nothing....

    unfortunately i do not have the numbers handy, i am currently deployed overseas. When I first put the lift and tires on the alignment was perfect. once it all settled i took it back in to be aligned again and thats where all the problems began. But after the second alignment the truck pulled right and had vibrations that it didnt have before i took it in the second time. I understand that it wont be perfect with a lift and wont be anywhere near factory, i just dont want to go through a set of tires a year and want the ride to be more comfortable again.... both shops i took it to told me the same thing so faulty components is all i can think it is now, especially since i bought used.

    have u been jumping your truck or anything like that, that would cause the uca to bend? hard to imagine a TC uca bending though...

    The UCA mounting bolt will bend long before that Total Chaos piece does. If you're convinced that something's truly bent, check that bolt first.

    NO! i do not jump my truck. i hit the trails and stuff but nothing that would bend a uca....kind of why im thinking it may have been bent already when i bought them....

    If it aligned once with those UCAs, they're not bent. Something else is amiss or the shops are putting their low-end guy on your truck.

    Really have to see the specs and the cams to know for sure.

    no, just the standard TC UCA...suspension is not my strong suit so im not fully familiar with the terms and lingo...

    I have never heard of an alignment issue with the TC's, but I have with the Camburgs.

    well i appreciate all the help guys, i guess ill just have to wait until july when i get home to get this worked out. I was just up not able to sleep so I thought i would see what people thoughts were.

    So wait is this for first gens also on the Camburgs? I sure hope not. For the OP wish I could help but I'm like you I figure that a good set of UCA's would help.
