yeah I found Toyota parts direct the part number they gave me was 45220-04010
Same price tho 336 the dealer in Fred gave me 426
I was hoping I could find cheaper but none of the cheaper ones ship to Canada called Napa auto choice then called car quest buddy just said yea good luck finding that

I’ll see what the salvage yards want for one if they still have any working ones ,
I’m not 100% sure if the one I got is pouched I’m like 70% sure there is a lot of play in the shaft At that part ^

When I took the truck in for the tires / ailment Buddy told me it could just be the boot it got sucked in he said if I could pull the boot out it may fix the issue ,

I think there's some sort of zip tie mod people do that tightens it up.. I can't remember exactly what though.

I am not as sure as you that beadlocks are not street legal, but I am pretty sure that modified rims are.

Maybe we are both just contrary. Beadlocks would be pretty sweet!

Correct, BIG puddle at the bedford range, No stream / water crossings here, as per provincial regulations ( so I've been told )

All joking aside. it was the bedford range. Fun day!

All those puddles thermal shocked my exhaust enough times to cause it to seperate as badly as it did.XLnRnALTTOeFkcdP38M6PWME_ET40_inU5BE2e1g_45fab1478c17af9c2b87bbeeec1d4ee8afc2f6dd.jpg

    interesting.....
honestly I never would have thought about the legal aspect of it. But that makes sense, you could potentially have a huge chunk of metal fling off and fly down the street, AND have your tire rapidly deflate at the sametime.

yah, I think I'll stay away from those for now.

I think its related to engineering. If a rim is modified or built no engineer stamped it as safe. I dont know if anyone has ever been fined for something like that and I doubt its something cops would even look for...

i was reading on the Jeep forms - not intentional google search .. they are saying you can have beadlocks they just gotta be MOT approved ??
i managed to get the zip tie in enough to grab the end with pliers , but i ripped off what i could with pliers i had it probably about half a inch in then when it broke its probably a 8th on a inch in i couldn't tie it up , i checked from the inside basically no play at all anymore , on the other side there is a lil play but i think its the normal amount .. so this may be a fix ....question mark

When you say on the other side you're talking about the intermediate shaft between the stub shaft that exits the cab and the rack? The one with the bellows?

There's a shaft held on with clamps in between, theres a small u joint and some bellow type of thing (I think its supposed to act as a crumple zone in an accident to keep the shaft from going through the driver).

I think there's a thread floating around the internet where buddy replaced the ujoint with an ATV joint or something? Mine had play a couple years ago. I replaced it with an OEM part. Cost me somewhere around $250. An air hammer to split the clamps will make that job a little easier.
