This project is slowly moving and changing.

Finally wired up the FJ MAF sensor that is needed using the FJ intake tube.

working on installing supporting gauges. boost and AFR first. Mocking up the Lotek pillar.

Not completed but started on the painful 2TPAM install.

    C24CA739-BE86-4004-B021-4F5414BE5971.jpg

Due to the S/C setup I needed to either move the S/C resi or move my switch pro and fuse blocks. Chose to move the electrical and testing a passenger side setup. Not sure if the passenger location yet. I may do a second battery setup.

Overall the engine bay has changed a lot compared to a month ago. Wires everywhere. it’s a mess but will be clean when all said and done. Minus the layers of dirt of course.

Little of this and a little of that
Looking good man! That TPAM definitely involves a few cuss words to install.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Making me feel like a turd for not starting a build page. We do have a lot of similar items and capabilities. I need to get it going. I have some of the write up but suck at photos.

I feel you there. I put it off forever due to not wanting to deal with it but pulling out the dash for some other stuff so seemed like a good time. Plus the recent GB helped.

Not so much as hard but a pain to find a good place to relocate the pump for the S/C. Randomly @Toynado had some steal bar from who knows what that turns out to be the perfect pieces to cut and grind. Bar had a nice bend with some additional spacing was perfect. Trimmed off the corner and a few spots to fit the pump but solid. Cleared the Warn 12k easy.

Sometimes you think “I should throw this away” but then that inner voice says “maybe I can use it for something later” and so one man’s junk becomes another man’s treasure.

Now that the snout nightmare is over I trimmed the snout down for the qwuickchange hub. I was going to trim for a 2.3 but haven’t acquired it yet. will run the 2.8 to start but I’ve a 2.5 ready once I tackle a few more mods to support the smaller pulley.

I went at it by hand. Wasn’t about to chance breaking any bolts again.

I still need to press it another 1/8” for it to line up. For a bit I thought I was stuck with the snout issue.

prepping for the added juice this setup will make. The Rousch Tensioner is bolt on to the Tacoma setup. Much stronger than the OE one supplied work the kit. You do need to modify if you change the pulley. Specifically the LFP 50mm double roller. shaved enough off to allow it to free spin. Also had to cut the supplied sleeve since the way this works is with the pulley inverse and the sleeve is too long. I was holding off for a bit but since in decided to start with 2.8 not 2.5 pulley I had planned. Time to get to works

They are off the truck right now. I have new parts to replace the adjuster but haven’t had a chance to bring it over to adjust the mounts. I’m sure we can move them in. If not I may get new ones but move that bypass tube to the side.

What about wheel spacers? I plan on doing the same bypasses l, however my wheels are much narrower than yours

They say you need to run 1.25" spacers with the TC Lower to run with the bypass so you will need spacers. I am running no spacers but I went with a higher offset wheel which according to TC should have been fine. I event chatted with them in person about it. My offset is -38 3.5" BS which is 1.25 from 4.75" standard aftermarket rim which they based it off. Its Just enough to cause issues. I am prob 1/4-1/2" rubbing. If you had 285 or event 295 I bet it would be fine. The 315 KM3s are some wide ass tires thats for sure. I debated going to 285/75/17 next but getting this to work is first choice. Looking at the hoops I think we can get them in a bit further. You do have to tac and mount the shock mount top and bottom so there is room to adjust. TC said to get it as close as possible. Mine are close but I think we can get it closer.

The other option I thought about it changing up the bypass for one where the bypass tube is in a different spot. If it is not in the spot where the tire is then that should also solve it.

Last option for me is spacers since I already have a wide offset and part of the goal was to not run spacer with these wheels.
