Finally wrapped up a long standing project I started last summer. When I had my old Audi wagon I always wanted to a set of Alcantara S4/S5. I saw them installed on a 80 series and was set to find a set. Randomly I scored a set from a 2013 S5 Prestige for a killer deal ( front and rear). They ended up needing a few things to get working but in the end it’s awesome! Color matches up with the truck almost as it was meant to be. I will get around to a proper write up later if folks are interested. I have it mostly documented. I had to convert them from memory to non memory. I used an aftermarket kit to get the heated seats to work, planted seat brackets bypassed airbags and OCS but everything works except for the top buttons in the seats ( I’ll tackle that later). I had to use A4 harnesses when I converted which does not have the switch sedan vs couple problems. Was able to find factory connections as well for the S5 and made a factory like plug and play setup. I sure did miss heated seats and adjustability in seats. The drive up to Portland was the first long test and it was great. They are sportier so some may say it’s too firm but I dig it.

Piecing the truck back together one piece at a time. Interior panels sneak peak are 30% I’d say there.

Are you using SEM paint for the interior? How is it holding up?

I am. Expensive, but the flexible paint lays well. So far, so good. The paint on the lower door seals already has some scratches but may not have let it cure long enough, but in general, I expect any high traffic area will have some issue. I will need a touchup.

Clean with SEM SOAP and grey pad.
    dry
    clean with SEM XXXX degreaser
Lay down adhesion promotor or vinyl leather prep (depends which plastic)
Pain with SEM flexible paint. Try to do a few coats. I May have done more than I needed, but I always find an area that needed more.

Only have 1 door painted, Getting inside the water bottle area is a bit of a pain. It may not even fully be painted on some sides but you cant tell.

How does that even happen? Were they over-torqued and was on the verge of breaking before you left?

How goes it with the CSF shroud problem you were having?

Thats my guess. I had the tire rebalanced at 4WP since it was included when i bought the tires. (first mistake). I had done work after myself on all corners but this corner. with quick check, they would have appeared torqued but yah over-torqued. One of the actual ones left you could see it stretched. Lesson learned don't just check but looses and re torque or just don't go to 4WP EVER

As of now, I have some HVAC tape on it and it's been holding fine with no real issues. Until I pull and up my E-Fan on I am going to leave it along and pack extra if needed. e-fan is ready to go. I am looking into some form of the custom shroud for a better setup.

    Glad it's working.

Also, would you think of selling those fuel rails?

Okay. Well if you ever do think of it, I'd like to be at the top of your list. Red would look good in my engine bay.

What's that tablet mount by the cupholders? Did you buy that somewhere or make that yourself?

I have the rago center console molle (they are having a sale right now as well on them) with bridge setup then a RAM mount arm/ipad mini mount. Overland/camp or whatever. it adds some great mounting points for things.

I also just ordered the RAM laptop mount which will be nice for tuning days. Just added a plug in the truck so I can connect the laptop power.

That's true..... probably could say that for most trucks that people mod the f*** out of

I dig the seats, guys like you and @Athlaos inspire me to do something like that. How did you find the fit when you were getting them in? Athlaos said his Infinity seats fit about as well as he colud have asked for
