State Farm. Sounds like they are going to cover it. I just have to provide proof that I owned all of the items that were taken, receipts, boxes, pictures. We haven't had to make a claim on our insurance home, auto, life, etc. in the past 5-8 years and we're pretty good friends with our insurance agent so I think everything is going to work out ok.

good to hear.... I work for USAA and I was going to say that auto would not cover loose items in a vehicle... it would have to be filed under home or renters where I work..... hopefully you have a low deductible.

I keep a deductible account that I pay like $10 into a month. It's a $500 deductible but really won't hurt the wallet.

I would have never thought insurance would cover stuff stolen out the truck but my buddy got his bmx bike stolen out the bed of his truck, his insurance covered it with no questions asked. He has farmers insurance.

You going back with a nikon?

Well, I gotta figure out how I want to spend, or not spend, this money. I would like to replace all my camera gear but do I really need to? Do I use it that much to justify owning so much gear? The more I think about it, the more I don't think I do. If I do buy another camera, it will definitely be a Nikon.

Well insurance company changed their story. Now I have to file the claim under my family's home owners insurance which has a $1k deductible. So $1600 back in my cost is of course worth it but I doubt I will buy camera gear with all it. Might invest it. We'll see.

Bahahahahaha. Invest it, who was I kidding. I'm definitely going to spend it.

Thinking about getting an Avid bar and an undercover winch mount system. I don't wheel very hard core, but I have gotten stuck in the sand and snow a couple times. Basically, I have no need for a bumper cause I don't need the approach angle, and if these winch systems are as solid as they're suppose to be, that's really all I would need/want. Plus they're awesome!

You talking about the winch mount that is hidden behind the stock bumper?

Yea I thought that thing was really cool. I feel like that could screw me if I got into an accident though.

I made it. Two L brackets from home depot and two thule bars cut to fit in the bed.

LOL. I'm talking about the fact that the airbag might not go off.

Right, I dont know anything about them. You could also look into the front mount hitch and put the winch on a cradle mount.
