We had an IT guy similiar this at Home Depot Supply:
Lost his shit one day BEFORE I came in at 07:30 and there were keyboard pieces scattered all around.
He had a new keyboard that was purchased BY THE COMPANY shortly after that...

My truck got 13mpgs average the first 5k miles I had it. Was not happy. Eventually it got way better. I think it helps that 1) I'm barely at a 2" lift. 2) Aluminum front bumper 3) no roof rack. 4) I drive like a granny.

Also now, with 35s I chose basically the lightest 35" tire you could find.

You have any static weight? I have an empty bed, no RTT or fridge, etc. Just a soft top that weighs maybe 30 lbs total.

Anyone not get around to using their CMC plates for a 2nd gen Tacoma? Probably going to finally do the chop for some better clearance. Would be happy to take them off your hands before I start looking into shops.

Just depends on your typical commute too. Wirh 35s/stock gears/wright
I can do it for ya, otherwise I just use 3" 3/16" plate found at home depot. $20 for a 3ft length. Cut out the cab mount, cardboard design a plate to fit, and cut out the plate with an angle grinder!

Bay Area metal fab sells them for $20 which isn’t a bad price with how expensive steel is right now…

An all in one from someone would be sweet to simplify things. I am wrapping up a few smaller projects on my truck for u-bolts and boot swaps and once I wrap those up I’ll be in touch.

I wish I had the fabrication skills. Something I need to practice elsewhere first. I was thinking the shipping may end up being the thing that gets me, figured it’d be close to the cost of the plates haha.

Pulled the trigger on a baby LC150. Too bad it’s my wife’s car so won’t be cutting off the bumpers and putting 35s on it anytime soon. Gonna be mostly a pavement princess except for the beach maybe.

Has anyone put in longer front bumper bolts? Think mine are to short for C4 bumper and frame support.

Pictures might help but if they are to short no reason you can't go longer IMO. Just make sure to get at least 10.9 ones.

New to the PNW area, just moved up to Lake Stevens. Any recommendations for some wheeling day trips or local meet ups?

I took that tacoma to the dealer for oil change today and asked them to also check trans fluid level. I was told its not part of their multi point inspection and it would be additional charge. Anyone heard of that?

Yeah I know they all say that but with so many tacomas coming with low trans fluid levels it would be nice to know its at the right amount
