Nice man. When Bobby dropped mine off I think he mentioned dropping yours off to you. You've got it up there already, how was it?

Yup, that was me. I over loaded the tailgate and broke it:

Actually I picked mine up from a dealer who met me in Chehalis. I got my Rainier at a discount for $1470 (including tax). Literally right as I got on the free way I saw bobby with his truck and trailer loaded with boxes. I stopped and said hi since it was so ironic.

I am very happy with the purchase. My wife was saying that was a lot for the tent but even she is exited to go camping with it and totally retracts her initial thoughts.

I was at my buddies today and removed my sway bar. Then we downed some beers and started posing in the driveway. This was before Bobby showed up.

Make it to the trip in August, and you won't be alone in being without the RTT.

This makes me miss my moms old 4runner. It was an 85 with an 86 heater block motor. Originally from Canada, it was so cold out that the original owner turned it on and cracked the block, and thus the newer heater block motor.

The real trick is to do it with a high current rated relay controlled by a switch in the dash, so you isolate the second battery, flip a switch and it gives the extra power availability. Play the stereo in the truck all night and leave doors open with the lights on to kill the battery while out wheeling. Flip a switch the next morning and have power again to start the truck. Leave it on to make sure everything gets a good charge, then turn the switch back off and isolate second battery again.

You going to say hi to me on your way east? Are you going to take 90 east into Coeur d'Alene then go north, to cut north through Spokane and go east out highway 2? If you go through Spokane, my place isn't much out of the way.

We take i90 over and then cut through Rathdrum at hwy 41 instead of hitting all the stop lights in Coeur D'Alene. Then take 53 over to 95 north.

If you want a smaller town that is surrounded by woods Darrington, Sultan, Arlington, Snohomish, Gold Bar are all good. Personally I would stay away from Granite falls, there is a ton of drugs up there (more so than any other town). Depends on how close you want to be to a bigger city like Seattle or Everett (Smaller than Seattle but bigger than a "small town"). Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the areas North of Seattle, lived here for 16 years now.

northwesttaco brings up a good point. It really does depend on how close you want to be to Seattle. There are LOTS of places farther north and south of that area.

Im leaving a small ish town population 50K now but it's getting a little big for my taste. i dont mind being near a big city as long as i can ditch the big city prices. Im sasing my taco right now and plan on pushing a 42-44" tire so i want some where were i dont have to load it up on the trailer every time i want to go wheeling.

As far as the rain forrest comment that was what my girl is looking for she is used to northern idaho where it's really green and has a decent amount of wet. in all honesty i think she would be fine with a place with some nice bodies of water around either way i told her i dont want to be to close to the ocean but im easy as long as it takes me a hour or so to drive to the coast.

I can see Darrington being a good fit for you. Tons of forest service roads and camping possibilities, plus you are a 25 minute highway drive to highway 20 (North Cascades Highway) which also has a ton of roads off of it. Very nice quiet little town, only about 200 residents. Not sure if you want that small, if not down around Shelton and Bremerton is a very nice area.
