Sounds like you have some good trips I will see what I can come up with. I wish it wasn't so early in the season I still want to run some CO back country.

sliders are too far forward and might cause an issue with the bigger tires...so i'm having marshall build me a new set and move them back a bit

    if i didn't already have a xd9000 and a deal on a new one already...that would be a good deal :D

either way first thing i do to that things after it's mounted is cut the shit outta it

They really need to work on tire clearance with those things...don't they know everyone moves up in tire sizes? :D

Hey random question but how has your gear been when stores in the back? I was seriously thinking of selling my bestop, getting a shorter rack. However all my gear will be exposed to elements. Just an idea I'm throwing around.

i've done that already...it's now to where the round bar meets the square bar

    no more trimming...

it was my buddy's first attempt at sliders, so they were a bit off to begin with so it gives us a good excuse to put a better version of his sliders on

when we put them on, we rushed it really. the length was right on, but we welded the legs on thinking that we had them in the right position...well when we put the sliders up, there was a couple rivets that were blocking it from going where we wanted...so we had to slide it forward...ended up fucking me over in the long run...

i originally had planned on running the bestop over my rack for winter, but after my thanksgiving trip i haven't swapped back...partially laziness

but with the mt hood, it covers the bed completely. most everything that i will be putting back there on trips will be in a container though, so they won't be subject to the elements really.

the hi-lift and maxtrax are protected quite well under there, so really it's just my rotopax that are subject to the elements...

once i get a garage, i think i'll hook up a pulley system to store the RTT and go with a softop option while it's not in use.

i really want to figure a canvas to go over the rack so i can get the protection and still have the custom rack..something with roll up sides

not sure if that answered your question
