    Nice build!

How do you like having 4.56 gears? Why did you get them and what effect have they made?
I've been thinking about getting in on the group buy for nitro gears. I get about 15 mpg highway and want to increase that, but it seems like gears won't help with highway gas mileage, just will give me more power..

How do you like the rock lights? do you think they are actually bright enough? your pics make them seem kinda dim.

no.. but I've seen the blurry pics of larry's truck on your thread :D

you should put together a package for rock lights the way you have bed lights and stuff

We'll the reason there are no packages is because the flexible strips already come pre-wired so it depends on how many you would want and where you want to put them. The Rigid Bars don't come pre-wired

love the gears man...got them to help with the wheeling..after doing kane creek canyon in moab this past spring, i felt i would benefit from some lower gears and rely less on slipping my clutch

only downfall has been the highway...the speedo states way higher than i'm actually going which means your rpms are also way higher than they used to be at the same speed...so highway speeds >70mph kill my gas mileage..

around town is nice if you don't mind shifting a lot...i'm usually in 5th gear by 40mph

but off-road it makes an amazing difference...stall less, crawling is easier, downhill you can creep down...can't wait to hit moab with the new setup!

eh, these rock lights are ok, nothing special...i been tossing around the idea of getting some flex led strips in that group buy, but $$ is very tight with other mods and gift shopping..

they do the job at least, but they could stand to be brighter...but it's better than nothing..

good thing about the kit is that they give you 10 pods so i have 2 in front, 2 behind the front wheels, 2 in front of the back wheels, 2 behind the back wheels and 2 under my bumper...versus only getting 4 LED strips in the group buy which would light in between the wheels

Alright thanks. The more I read about gears the more I don't think I need them. I was hoping to improve my gas mileage but it doesn't seem like that will do it. I'm auto so clutching isn't a problem when crawling.

I'm thinking about getting some led strips from the gb.. Maybe I'll start with 4 and see what they do

to help with gas mileage, you'd need to find a pair of 4.10 gears to bring you back to stock ratios with 33" tires...anything more than that you are pushing high torque amounts but run into the issue i have with running higher rpms than normal...i will need 35s to match up my gears and rpms better...but that's not happening anytime soon:(

Yea I'd like to get new tires so I could just get 35s instead of 33s, but it all sounds like a very expensive gamble. I need to wait til I need new tires and then figure it out. Lol

Yea I was on there the other night. Good site. Higher Rpms will mean higher gas bills though right?

yup...i have an ultragauge hooked up so i can keep an eye on my mpgs and it's painful to watch it while on the highway above 70mph...

just gotta be gentle on the skinny pedal as much as possible

but the extra torque helps you keep a low rpm while cruising through town which helps with the city mpgs...

i'm averaging 16-18mpg...with 30 miles/day commuting and weekend trips into the mountains

Yea I've got a scan gauge that always tells me I'm getting between 12 and 15, usually when I figure it out it's about 15. Right now I'm using my gps to see how many miles I actually get to a tank. So far at 25 miles it's a mile less than what the gps says.
Usually about 240 to a full tank.
I wish I could get back to 18. That's all I need. Anything is better than 15

Damn! I want a new intake, headers, y-pipe, and a URD MAF Calibrator now....
But the $$$$!!! I wonder how long it would take for each part to pay for itself...
