Fender flares, or metal fenders? Take the plastic off, if thats what you're asking.

I imagine he will pull the flares, trim the metal fenders then trim the flares to fit back on.

Yea, that is a decent project. One day I will chop in to my truck, and no fucks will be given that day.

I wish I was going 35's sooner. That looks awesome. Let's do this Bob. Don't forget a wooden ruler for our expert line creating tool. :D

Just cut it. But make sure you leave tabs at every location there is a screw for the flares. If I had it to do over again, I would even add one tab on the rear, right in the rear bend. Not for going back to stock purposes mind you, but for bending them up in there and welding in fasteners to attach fender liners. Of course, if you have no desire to have fender liners, don't worry about it.:D

Has anyone tried using expandable foam to fill in the gap? It can be shaved down really easy and is lightweight. I was just curious if you saw anything Bob.

Whenever I cut the liners, I just made them wide enough to cover the gap between flare and fender. They actually push on the flare a little and give it a little more stability. Btw, I popped those two fender clips in Moab from the front bumper flexing. So, I cut the bumper when I got back and haven't popped a clip since.

Those would be ideal of course. Maybe by the time I'm out there you'll have that process down too. Unless you already do :spy:
