NYS does not approve Toyotas frame treatment. I may have to do it myself with Rust Bullet. Any thoughts?

The lady from Toyota 800 331 4331 Jessica ext. 73848, that's after the local dealer said my truck didn't qualify for the warranty extension. It's been in upstate NY since day one, the salt capital of the world.

Thats bullshit.it shouldn't matter what state the truck is in.if Toyota had a quality frame made, they wouldn't have this problem.what makes it worse is that 2nd gens are dealing with rust already.

That's not true. I get my frame tested every time I bring my truck in for an oil change. Try a different dealer ASAP

I was told the same thing here in Virginia today... he said that they stopped it in West Virginia and the closest dealer he knew of that was still doing it was in Maryland... I asked what that meant about my "extended warranty" and he laughed.
