    :p Any ideas on how difficult it is to remove the bedside? Can make a bracket that utilizes the bed to frame mounting point to mount the compressor.

    Those are what I was refering to as being able to stuff up there. Remings me of my old "Sneaky Pete" nitrous bottles I had stuffed in my one of my old vehicles...

    Why not do what my end game is. Drill and tap your sliders! make them into air tank sliders. Can't remember if yours were weld ons, but thats 4-6 gal of air tank right there. Your proximity to them sliders now is uncanny.

    I am glad that people are thinking outside the box now. Utilizing all the additional dead space out vehicles have on them. Turning it into functional space for needed/ functional gear.

    It depends on your CFM. Tire size and other factors. Take my rig, I want to go with 35x12.5r20's - To fill mine would take less time than a 35x12.5r16 due to the size there. I feel the short answer is YES. But the first 2 will fill up quickly.

    Yeah, I found it when searching on removing bedsides...no info other than the pic. Some other guy wanted to mount his set up in the bedsides but never posted a finished product.

    Should be a significant time savings with a tank....considering your filling a 5 gal tank from 160-200 in 1-2mins.

    My 1 gallon porter cable trim compressor takes ~2.5 full tanks @ 140psi to fill my 35x12.50R18 back to street PSI.

    I'm doing 2 regulators on mine. 1 for the lockers and tools rated ~90psi and the other to adjust as needed. Might pick up a HVLP Pneumatic paint gun or two.

    Yeah, I know there are a lot of different factors in here. In a nutshell, my question is using the same compressor and a 5 gal tank and filling say 35x12.50R16's. Will it be faster with the tank or not. Obviously if the tank is big enough then yes, but I have my doubts a 5 gallon tank is big enough to fill 4 of those 35's, and I wouldn't be surprised if a 5 gallon tank is a similar volume to a single tire so once the tank is drained it is like filling up two 35's are the same time... I'm going to do some research.

    The numbers are there. Still has me a little confused there though. So are they claiming that to fill the tank, 2.5 gal, it would be those numbers from 0 psi. Then if that same tank was empty, it would be the numbers below that to fill the 35"s?

    Rite off the bat, i went with a 3/8" hose instead of the recommended 1/4" hose. Hoping to supply more air faster to the ports/ tools.

    I'm debating on what size air line to run. Had 5/8" on the old truck:eek: Fittings are hard to come by, Will probably go with 3/8" or 1/4".

    :goingcrazy: I might be going overboard... All I need for my application is a simple tank and compressor :cool: Would love to hide it in the bed side though, but @ only 2 gallons per side it might not be worth the effort. (Considering I can't put a spare tire under the truck ANYWAYS :eek:)

    EDIT: Maybe two slim tanks strapped together will fit on one side.

    Hmmm I was thinking of trying to mount one of those AVS slim tanks somewhere on my truck but this is a sweet idea. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have no idea what they would be rated to though.

    Well, would be a nice CLEAN install there. I know 35"s do not really fit under there. Maybe you could fab a bracket so they could. When I finally get mine, I am going to try to stuff one in there. Not sure how hard people have tried. I would like to carry 2 tires though. One on a Swing out, and the other stuffed.

    On the specs you posted, both of the duals have 2.0 gallon tanks and both the singles have 2.5 gallon tanks so the number are off there. All 4 of those use different compressors.

    These both use the 450C compressor. 1 is dual and 1 is single and the CFM's basically double. The times are pretty close as well.

    As for the hose I definitely recommend the 3/8" hose. My ARB hose is 1/4" and it seems to be slower. Although I haven't decided if it is the hose or the ARB gauge I use.

    I built a 4 tire inflator a couple weeks ago and timed it. Here were my results.
    I used my ARB CKMA12 and my 255/85R16 KM2's on 16x8" wheels. I run them at 50 psi on the street and 20psi on the trail.

    My 4 way uses 3/8" ID hose and all 1/4" NPT parts.
    4 tires:
    Deflate: 50 to 20 psi: 3:30 minutes
    Inflate:
    20 to 30 psi: 5:00 minutes
    30 to 40 psi: 6:30 minutes (11:30 total)
    40 to 50 psi: 7:15 minutes (18:45 total)

    ARB kit (1/4" hose I believe) and the ARB inflator gauge. To deflate I just clamped the little tiny ARB chuck that comes with their fill kit.
    1 tire:
    Deflate: 50 to 20 psi: 3:45 minutes
    Inflate:
    20 to 30 psi: 1:35 minutes
    30 to 40 psi: 1:45 minutes (3:20 total)
    40 to 50 psi: 1:45 minutes (5:05 total)
