My heavier wires pass through the grommets under the seats. In under the driver's seat to the relay and out to the compressor under the passenger seat. Ground wire runs along the passenger frame rail up into the engine bay across and around to the battery. Since I brought air into the cab I installed the pressure switch and relay there under the console along with a 6-way mini fuse box that I'm converting to 2x3-way so I can have both always hot and ignition hot fuses there. One nice thing about the 5-manny is that there's a perfect spot below the cup holders and after sanding the clips it pops out as easily as the dash fuse cover cubby.

Still in the works but I went with a simple OBA this time. Have one QD at the front bumper and one QD at the rear bumper. 6g power wire that will be turned on by manually flipping the breaker under the hood. No tank this time.

Just installed all this over the weekend. Only problem is the 5 pin switches. Can anyone draw me a wire diagram or break it down like a 5 yr old as to where I messed up if I PM you a diagram of what I did? I got all the switches to work but they don’t light up when switched on.

Wiring is my kryptonite and I’m trying to get better at it but it can feel overwhelming

I have a 2.5g Viair tank that came with one of these "compression fittings" in it:

    https://www.viaircorp.com/fittings/compressionfittings

What documentation I have found says it's for 1/2"od-3/8"id hose. Ok, what kind of hose? Nylon? DOT? Rubber? Braided? All the above? Just trying to avoid trial and erroring this.....

Compression fittings usually use the air hose rated by dot. It’s the same line that semi’s use.

I switched out some of the ptc fittings for 1/4" compression(still same plastic air lines) and used brass insert nipples inside the tube ends. Assembly seems to go a bit easier with a little silicon lube on the air line and nylon compression sleeve.

Thanks. I presume that the 1/2 and 1/4 DOT tube will handle 200psi?

    Should. Semi’s run 120-140 psi.
I thought the lines had the rating on them. Either 200 or 300psi

Yeah, I can't tell. Some say "435 psi" some say nothing. some reviews look like people used the tubing for ice machines, so WTF indeed. Some 1/2" tubes are listed as 1/2 od, some are listed as 3/8 od. So screw it, not wasting $40 to find out. I took off the weird compression thing and put a 1/4npt in there. I can figure that out.

Greeting all. I’ve got the single ARB installed but the wiring of the switch has got me stumped. I haven’t read every post in every thread related to OBA but hopefully someone can help. Ive got a Rago switch and so far no luck. I’ve tried every combination of wires I can think of to get it to turn in but obviously I’m doing something wrong. I checked the fuse and it looks good. I’ve checked the terminals and the harness connections. I’m not using ignition wire on the switch because I don’t care if it lights up. I’m also not using the secondary harness that comes with the compressor because I’m not running it to lockers. I’m just using the compressor to air up my tires and my kids soccer balls. Any idea what I’m doing wrong here?

On the compressor side looks like your only gonna use the red.
Green and yellow go to the connectors which plug into the locker solonoids.

On the switch side, I think it’s red and green. Red can connect to red and green wound be power in (12v source) the other red and black can go to the dimmer circuit. Or just to switched power. It’s the light for the switch

Thank you for the help. Sorry but I’m not clear on the switch side. Red goes to red, and the green goes to what? What do you mean green wound be power?

Did arb give you the wiring diagram in the packet? It Shound have what wire is the activation. It Shound be the red since the others go to the connectors, but doesn’t hurt to double check
