Nylon ball valve is another option but if it's that exposed you might want to consider a cover of some kind to at least keep direct spray away from it. Road debris will also erode the tank paint and then it will start to corrode too. You might want to reconsider tank location, my 2 gal is stuffed into the bedwall in front of the rear passenger tire. It's a tight fit but not nearly as exposed as anywhere behind the axle or hanging from the bed. Another option is 2 smaller tanks can be located in more places than a single large one. Good luck, salt is a bitch.

I might be onto something here.

I have both my DashCam and my GPS power sources hardwired in underneath the center console. Last night I tried to use my GPS but after a few minutes it said "Battery Low" and soon died. It was then that I discovered my DashCam had no power either.

I installed two terminals underneath the console to power accessories. One is "Always Hot" and the other is "Ignition-Only Hot." Methinks that power is not getting to the "Ignition-Only Hot" terminal. I'm going to go tear the console apart here shortly. Stay tuned.

Good call. I didn't think about the battery possibly being located in the bed. My duals are jammed next to each other in the OEM location.

Anyone who's done an airline relocation for arb know what size fittings I need? I'm looking for an elbow from the compressor, probably about 2ft of stainless braided line and then the other end of the stainless braided line connected to the arb quick disconnect in the pump up kit.

also, is this stuff I can pick up at Lowes or Home Depot or only order online?

1/4 NPT. You won't find what you need at either of those stores. The air is really hot for the first few inches of the outlet so you need a lead in hose. I have a stainless braided one from Viair.
Most of my fittings came from my local Tacoma Screw store. I have an order of fittings for the tank arriving from Amazon today.
Also, if you don't already use it, Loctite-545 Hydraulic tread Sealant ...
There is a primer too. In my opinion, the only way to do it. No leaks and going on three years!

Braided hose you'll need to get online but brass pipe fittings can be had at decent hardware stores.

I'm looking at heat and oil resistant rubber air hose to go from the Viair stainless lead in hose to the tank which will be mounted in the bed for now.
    Setup:
ARB twin pump mounted with Slee mount in front right corner of engine bay. Looking at putting the tank at the front of the bed closest to the cab but want a little extra hose just in case ( I have yet to test fit it in relation to the bed or the camping and recovery gear I will need to carry in the bed.
I know hard lines are great but I have no intention to do this.
I want factory or custom crimped connections and a 300psi minimum rating.

Any suggestions on hose and length?

    Thank you.

Copper tube from hardwhere store and slate your own lines on it?

Pull some string along the route and allow for soft bends. Pick your route to allow for the size of your prefabbed ends, that's going to be different than any diy routing where the ends go on later.

Thank you. I don't want to hard line right now as location of the tank will change at some point.
Once it or a different tank gets located under the bed, I may consider hard lines.

I have limited time to get this done and will probably just get a premade 25' hose. There will be some extra but better than coming up short.

At some point I plan to have a gauge in the dash as well.

Do you have the beaded hose that slee gave ya?
I used that hose and connected it to abs tube line semi’s use. It’s held up to the Heat well and easy to cut and modify with the push fittings.

Somewhere in my unorganized garage! Lol. Currently have a nipple and tee out of the compressor. Plug on one end, Viair lead in hose going to a Viair regulator then a quick disconnect.
    I will look into that!
    Thank you!

Anyone use the Slee off road vertical ARB twin mount: http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_air.htm (SOK001).

I wanted to confirm that the 90 degree connections with braided hose that come with the kit actually fit into the compressor. They seem to be the right size, I'm just concerned bc when I tighten on the 90 degree there is quite a bit of exposed thread once it gets pretty tight (making me question...).

So basically just wanted to see if I'm good to use that or not... last thing I want is to strip the threads on my $500 compressor lol

I have it and there is still exposed thread on the 90 , just be positive that you're not cross threading it
Also ARB compressors are entirely rebuildable
    https://www.polyperformance.com/arb-air-compressor-replacement-parts

that cap that you are threading it into looks to be $5.70 from PolyPerformance :spending:

I have it but never used the included hose from Slee. I have a nipple and tee from Fastenal followed by a Viair lead-in hose. Use Loctite Primer SF 7649 followed by Loctite 545. I have had no leaks for three years.

OK. I got my ARB compressor (twin) running again. Actually, it's running a little too good. One side won't shut off. Ever. Not even if I switch it off from inside the cab. It just goes all Energizer Bunny on me (going and going and going) and won't shut off. I had to pull the fuse for it to stop. The other side works fine. and shuts off when it is supposed to.

What do think could be causing this? The only thing I can think of is a stuck relay.

I have that kit, but when I bought it like two years ago it did not come with those fittings. I had to use my own fittings.
