    I think it was meant to help us middle class, (or in my case, low class!) folks be able to afford health care. I hope that is how it works out. Never can tell with Government.....

    It was to help those with no insurance. Unfortunately it hurts the middle class and anyone who pays taxes. It does nothing to lower the cost of healthcare which is the real problem.

    But you realize the fine for not having the health care will be lower than owning health care, so who is going to care?

    The fine when said law is implemented comes with a fine for not owning health care on 2014 when it takes affect. So, those without getting healthcare by that point will be fined but it won't be near the same amount as health care costs anyway. And, done... the lock shall come soon.
