Unless you have a tune that will lock it up. I have the KDMax with 3rd TQ lockup

I understand the Taco does a partial lock up in 3rd as standard (which I’ve never seen on OBD), but you’re saying the tune enables full lock up in 3rd (do you have a screenshot of OBD showing lockup). Is this standard with the tune or special request.
Furthermore are there any negatives for doing this; ie why didn’t Toyota include 3rd lock up…

Double up some of the gauges, that’ll save space… make them transparent and over lay them.

    Have you tried: Menu>CalibrateDeviceSensors

I'm still using the same one you quoted. It already does more than I need.

That's a great idea but I've kind of gotten used to what I have. I appreciate the explanation which may pull me into playing around with it again. o_O

Got bored with my current setup. Or perhaps always looking for that optimal setup.

    IMG_2941.png

So this one’s a bit different. The two gauges on the left are actually double gauges. Needles are different colors so we’ll see what it looks like once I get some real-time values. Kept the classic red-dot green-dot for the torque converter lock status.

I thought about varying the needle style on each gauge. You can do a ‘fill’ instead of a needle. So you can do a wrap around fill, and a needle from two overlaid gauges. Meh…. Maybe tomorrow.

I really wish you could do larger than 100% gauges. You could get some good sized gauges and center them in a corner and have needles track 90 degrees.

Great idea with the overlay dials/double needle I may need to have a play :)

Would you mind sharing the setup for your tc lock up status, specifically how you got the graduated colour. I have the dot but just solid colours.

I observed the hottest temps ever in my trans oil pan the other day, 203’f, I wasn’t even towing! Had about 30 minutes of stop go heading up i17 from Phoenix to Flagstaff in 110’ heat. Having a fan would have definitely helped.

Here’s a pic from the morning commute. I’ll get a Dropbox link up in a bit. I also wish the min:max markers were separately enabled.

That’s a good question. It’s been such a long time since I created that one. It’s probably a gradient setting somewhere in the style. I’ll take a look tonight.

What version are you running? I’m not on the latest and that *might* be an issue. I’ve found that upgrades sometimes break things.

    I’m on:
    IMG_2947.png

Also, I went and looked at the instructions I wrote and they are now 3 years old. I toyed with the import process and it’s a little different now. It looks like you follow the ‘next’ options until the end. I’ll see if I can update my first post with the latest instructions.
