In leu of making a new thread for a simple question I'll ask here first. What parameter shows current gear for AT?

Thanks! I utilized shift status and TC locked to show a green circle behind the gear. Incredibly helpful when towing.

Here’s my dashboard… at the moment I peaked from a 3,300ft climb with a 4,700lb travel trailer heading to Roswell, NM.

So today we drove up to Lake Tahoe without the travel trailer and I was surprised to see the trans tc temp climb to 219’. Cargo was wife, dog, couple of bikes. Driving in D with ECT on at 45mph speed limit, outside temp was 60’.

I was really surprised to see temps get that high. I’ve towed a 4,700 lb trailer 5k miles this year and I’ve been over mtn passes and not seen temps go that high whilst towing.

This is the first time I’ve had fusion running without the trailer attached. So I’m presuming temps get that high on a regular basis.

So with that in mind I wonder what the safe high temp is?

I have an alert set on fusion at 215’, thinking of upping it or even removing it as the max I’ve seen is 226’ whilst pulling the trailer over wolf creek pass, 10,865 ft.

No tune, definitely wouldn’t tow up the road, very steep all the way.
Wasn’t flooring it just keeping up with cars in front at speed limit. Started at 5,000ft not sure what the summit was maybe 7,500.

Just checked the elevation, 2,600 ft climb in 6 miles. That’s pretty extreme.

I would add SLU from tranny PIDs. If this one is Off, the TC gets hot.
But im not sure why would it be off on stock.
Perhaps a combination of slow traffic,ECT, gear

Ahh ok. Thanks for the recommendation.

I found it before we drove back so added it and noticed it coincided with TC lockup.

I usually use my iPad mini for OBD fusion when towing but decided to add it to my phone. This is the dashboard I threw together quickly. Top right is gear selection, red dot turns green when tc is locked.

For my OBD setup I made a 3D printed ipad mini mount that locks into the front cup holder.

It’s a standard radial gauge with nearly all coloured/visible features zero’d out and then warnings added.

Just in case peeps don't know you can add warnings to gauges, this was a feature added by OBD Fusion a while back.

I have my TC oil temp set to 215', above this the gauge turns red.
