    MT's don't generally need auxiliary cooling, far less heat is generated so passive cooling is enough without the need for temp monitors. Industrial applications, semi-trucks for example, more commonly have temperature and auxiliary cooling on an MT and even differentials.

    AT's generate more heat due to the torque converter. Modern AT's in particular are sensitive to fluid properties. Auxiliary cooling and temperature monitoring is almost always needed.

    I know this is an old thread, but...
    Are these two transmission temp data points available with the basic $10 OBD Fusion app, or will I need to spend more $ to upgrade to find these?
