I know many are trying to find apps and PIDs to monitor temps and other things. I'd tried a few Apps in the last year and recently gave the above a shot; using it with a Kiwi 3 adapter. It's the best one I've tried yet for iOS as it doesn't have issues connecting. Just recently, they added advanced diagnostics for Toyota's ($9.99) and within that Trans Temp is now available. I'm sure others have solutions they like, but for those looking for something this one is worth a look.

I have no relationship with the company, but do appreciate finding something that actually works.

can you confirm the transmission temp is included with the enhanced diagnostic in-app purchase?

maybe this is an oversight, but their web site does not list toyota as part of ios enhanced diagnostic in-app purchase on this page - https://www.obdsoftware.net/support/ios/obd-fusion-for-ios-with-enhanced-diagnostics/

however they do list toyota on the obd fusion home page without any reference to ios or android
    https://www.obdsoftware.net/software/obdfusion

and finally they do list toyota for the android
    https://www.obdsoftware.net/support/android/obd-fusion-for-android-with-toyota-enhanced-diagnostics/

$10 for the app plus $10 for the Enhanced diagnostics in-app purchase.

I used the paid Torque app w/ the bluetooth OBDII to read trans temp. in order to check my ATF fluid level. It was wildly inaccurate. App said the trans was up to temp in less than 5 mins. from cold start. When I followed protocol it took more than 15 mins. to the trans. to get up to acceptable temp. to check trans fluid level. Also threw ABS and ATRAC warnings.

Are you just looking for something that will tell you the trans temp or also perform the fluid check thing?

I have a scangauge II that is programmed to give trans temp. also works as a scanner. plus I have carista on my phone to check fault codes and customization.

    mainly for tranny temp.

i received a response back from obd fusion and they have the toyota oem non standard obd2 pids in there current ios version 4. i can always program them manually if the values are incorrect.

i also contacted the makers of the KIWI3 and they will release their own software this summer and will support the non standard toyota pids.

Yeah my 2017. I haven't dug further into the formulas after this experience.

just verified the kiwi3 obd fusion combo is dead-on accurate. The oil temp range for the '14 is 97-115F. in oil temp check mode the light came on at 97F and starting flashing at 115F.

Does it give you any parameters that monitor VVTi angles? I'd like to be able to monitor the shifts from Atkinsion among other things.

Just want to post this up again, I used OBD Fusion today, but it fail to read transmission temperature. I tried the formula, it says "no data received". I bought the 2016 Toyota Advanced diagnotistic for $9.99, but it doesn't include any Network A PIDs (only Network D). I saw another Toyota Advanced diagnotics on top for $34.99. Do I need to buy this to have the transmission temp option? This is too much of a price jump.

    Can someone confirm?

Did you you buy for the correct model?
I just reinstalled Fusion and 2016 PIDs are still $9.99. You should be covered for all available networks.
Also, have you ran a scan for available Pids?

Yes, 2016 Diagnostics is still $9.99 (and I bought it), but it doesn't include Network A PIDs (which has the transmission temp).

So you go to dashboard and add PID... do you see Toyota/Lexus/Sion PIDs available?
when you click you don't see Network A PIDs?

Your screen does not match mine. Do you get to that screen via Dashboard/Add Display setup or other ways?
If so, you should be prompt to select CU and ability to search

Thank you so much, Vlady. I am using an iPad. And I did do Dashboard --> Add Display, but our screens are quite different. I don't know why. I will contact OBD Fusion.

Does anyone else here using iOS device?
