I use the LELink model mentioned in the product discussion below. I got it specifically because I'm lazy and want to leave it plugged in and it's been plugged in for months straight and had 0 issues with truck or OBD Fusion.

Just as an aside, I had an UltraGauge plugged into my 2012 Sport. It was in there for a couple of years with no issue even when undriven for up to 5 days. When I put it into my 2018, it would drain the battery if not started for two days or more. I did all of the parasitic trouble shooting checks and it would indeed draw when the engine was turned off. I don't know why the Gen2 had no issues while the gen 3 drained. Could be a different way the ECU sees things. I don't care what the mfg says or anecdotes presented here are, if I were going to park at the airport for a week, I'd be unplugging.

And I'd recommend the same for any OBD device, no matter how little power it draws.

Does anyone have answers or guesses to the following...

I assume the OBDII reader and in turn OBD Fusion get numbers from the ECM, and not the actual vehicle sensors... correct?

Are the "CAT Temp" readings from the O2 sensors, different exhaust gas temp sensors, or some sort of calculation based on other sensors?

I am trying to track down some very odd "CAT Temp" numbers that result in misfires and poor engine performance.

    Thanks.

Does fusion offer pids? There seems to be no presets on torque pro for the 4.0. just the basic stuff. I'm looking for injector balance and at transmission temps. Thanks!

You can add the Toyota specific PIDs for extra cost. Around $10. Trans temps are in there but I'm not sure injector balance is as I really don't know what that is.

Hi, how are you pulling misfire readings? I was able to do this with the torque app no issues, but obd fusion is giving me a hard time with this... Do I need to purchase extras or something? Do I need to speak a mode $06 language, or ? Thanks gentlemen, God bless Merry Christmas

Mine will only show a 0 or 1 for 2wd/4wd or hi/lo. Not sure where the actual title gets input.

I got remaining fuel working, but I had to manipulate the formula, and I'm not sure how accurate it is.

On OBD fusion is AT oil temp 1&2 for front and rear diff? If not what should I select to monitor those and which is transmission oil temp?

I only saw one related to diff temps - front diff temperature.

You need to connect to the network D, the tire pressure control unit is not on the same network as engine and tranny. after that run the scan to update PIDs, then select them

Has anyone tried the usb OBDlink SX adapter?

    https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-OBD...005ZWM0R4/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

My question is if the USB connection would give faster update rates and better real-time logging as opposed to using the bluetooth OBDlink MX+ adapter?

I don't know enough about CAN bus to understand what the limiting factor is for update rates; CAN protocol or bluetooth.
