I mounted mine on the steering column with linelock (3M).
    Good enough for me...
I wanted to mount it there because I found myself always wanting to look at it.

I love the fact this thing can read/reset trouble codes. I've got 3 vehicels that I can hook it up to and read codes if I need to....Can't beat that!

It's an OBDII reader. I have never had to clear codes, but I assume it can do that.

what happened to your truck? you installed the DT headers and no O2 sim?

No, nothing wrong with the truck. I just have larger tires so I like keeping track of actual speed as well as MPG, and other parameters. It was kinda nice to adjust my driving habits to save gas.

I got so impressed by the reading the info on the unit I forgot to read the other forum stuff before I ordered it. My Taco doesn't have a a tac, trip meter etc. so I'm hoping it'll take the place of all of it in one small unit. I ordered an extra cable to use in my 99 Cobra just for fun.

Ordered my SCANGAUGE II on 12-27-07, received it yesterday, installed it just a little while ago. A no brainer! Does everything I wanted it to and more. I'll have to figure out the rest of the stuff.

Anyone have a preference between the ScanGauge and the Dash Hawk (besides the obvious price difference)?

The manual sucks for a Scan Gauge II. I am sure some enterprising young (or old) Taco owner has a better resource.........and would post said resource for other users?

Does any of these scanners tell you anything about the battery condition (e.g. voltage)?
