so i pull onto the main highway to get to work this morning and it honestly felt like i was trying to pull out in 3rd gear. i checked and it was in first ( i could also tell by the rpms and the speed). there was a huge loss of power. it stayed like this up through 4rth gear and then all of the sudden it was fine, you could noticeably feel the difference when it started running like normal. it felt like when you turn on the a/c, but multiply that by 3. no CELs, i didnt hear any missfires or anything, and it did not act up during the trip except for this one isolated incident. should i count this as a fluke, or start diagnosing?

2005 2.7, 130K on the clock, plugs have about 60K on them (replaced them with the oem spec), other than that everything else is stock.

One time is a fluke. If it does it again then start looking. Do you have anyway to check for codes? There may be ones logged but not enough for it to trigger a CEL. Almost sounds like traction control or one of the nanny systems kicking in.

Sometimes a bit of water in the gas or even funky gas will do that. It has happened to me. You can get water in the gas from condensation forming in a tank that isn't full. Fill up the tank with fresh gas.. if it happens again then it's some other problem.

i forgot to update this. i'm saying it was a fluke. i scanned for codes, and i obviously had none but i also had none pending. it has also been running great with this one time being the exception. i'll keep an eye on things, but everything seems fine.
