Here's a strange one, unless I'm searching the wrong term, I can't seem to find any info about this 'glitch'.

A couple of days ago my Odometer Trip Reset switch stopped working. Now it's just stuck on Trip B. I've tried long presses, short presses, and it won't budge.

I need to get my main Odometer reading to renew my plates...

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

Disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes and was able to get back to my main odometer reading. Trip switch still doesn't work though. I use that a lot, so would like to fix it.

Does it still feel like it has resistance when you push it in? Like a click towards the end?
I had something similar on another car happen and after I opened the speedo housing it turned out the long "lever" that pushed the button behind the plastic was off the button itself... if that makes any sense.

Makes sense. The stick feels normal, still feels like it's pushing the button in.

sounds like the electronics stopped working, as long as you have your odometer reading I would just live with it. the only solution I can think of is to replace the cluster or odometer module in it if that's even possible and then your odometer will be off unless you get lucky enough to find one with about the same miles.

Dang... I guess these little electrical gremlins were bound to start popping up given the trucks age.
