OEM Audio Plus Reference 500

Looking to upgrade the sound system in my 23 6MT TRD w/o JBL. I’ve had some really nice set ups in past vehicles. However, I’m really liking the ease of install on the OEM Plus Reference kit. Basically plug and play, with a bit of dynamat on doors and rear cab behind the seats. Or so it seems.

Not looking for crazy bass. For example, my stock premium system (non HK) in my e92 is in my opinion perfect bass wise, mids, and highs are meh but work.

For those who have the reference system with the amplified single 8” sub care to elaborate on their experience?

 

When I was doing some homework on upgrading audio, I dug around the Audio/Video sub-forum and saw stuff on OEM Audio... from what I remember it was hit and miss. It may be easier to find info via Google.

 

I like my OEM Audio+. Dual subs, full system, and I went overboard with sound proofing when I did it all
