OEM Cargo Net install (photos)

Cargo Net arrived from Amazon.com. Nice quality, as you can see. I mounted it against the back of cab. When I at first mounted it using the side rails, the net rested about 5 inches behind the cab. That's as close to the front as I could get and still lock the bed rail cleats. I didn't like that position (a 5" gap between the net and the back of the cab). It just looked wrong. I like it much better snug against the cab. As others have noted, it will be interesting to see if it flops around on the highway without the bottom being secured to something. I haven't yet installed D-rings on the front floor of the bed to attach it to. It does fit snugly across the top. Overall impression- I like it and it will most definitely come in handy. Until someone steals it.

If you decide to install D-Rings on the rear of your bed, you can use a carabiner at each end to hold the lower section of the net to each corner.

 

Try mounting along the drivers side so you can actually retrieve anything you throw in it. Or at the tailgate.
