Can any of the Aftermarket Hella, Piaa, KC etc etc etc be wired up to an OEM Fog Light switch?

Thanks googling showed the OEM Fog Light switch is different in 2012 and beyond. Anyone have any thoughts or input on this?

I am going to be getting a new mesh grill from StealthTaco and a BAMF behind the grill light mount. Want to put either some PIAA, or Hella, or KC lights behind the grill. Also want to hook it up to an OEM switch in another OEM switch position inside the truck

It's just the colour of the back-lighting. Pre-2012 is orange, while 2012+ is a whitish-yellow. I used an OEM switch/harness (albeit from a pre-2012 truck) to wire up my PIAA LP530s no problem. Sort of wish I had done a bit more research to have them match the rest of my switches.

There is no reason you can't use the OEM switch to trigger the relay to run the driving lights.

I don't quite understand though - you do, or do not, have an existing OEM switch already in place? If you do not, I think you are better served getting one of the On Board Air switches linked above, or the OEM Toyota / Hella 450 switch for $10. Either is a cheaper route and both will be easier to wire since they are designed for the aftermarket.

The Toyota / Hella switch drops right in with only a small bit of filing to the hole (removal of two thin plastic ridges):

I already have the OEM fogs in but when I add the new behind the grill lights they all come with some type of on/off switch. Just wanted to know if I bought another OEM switch if it can be used with aftermarket lights

Ah, so you want two of the same switches. Gotcha. Yeah, the OEM will absolutely control the after market lights, a switch is a switch.

Wondering the switch posted above will replace my oem switch? I am looking a replacement that shows a light initiator that tells me the fog lights are on.

It won't plug into the harness but with some adjusting it would work, yes.
