We are proud to announce that we have a couple Inline OEM Microphone Adapters made and are looking for 3 beta testers in the LA area (91406)! We are looking for; 2nd Gen w/ Factory JBL, 3rd Gen w/ Factory JBL, and 3rd Gen w/o factory JBL. If you are interested in being a beta tester please take a look below.

What is involved with being one of our "Beta Testers":
    1. You will get (to keep) a free Inline OEM Microphone Adapter + all required accessories for install free of charge.
    2. You must be able to meet with us for the installation. (We expect this to take a couple hours).
    3. Must be willing to provide honest feedback on the sound quality after a couple weeks of use.
If you are interested please send me a PM with which truck you have and which days you are available to meet for the install. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Bump! To be clear, this product is working in my 2013 Base Tacoma. The main reason we need beta testers is not to test if the product works, it is so that we can use a multi-meter and verify which wires this adapter needs to connect to on different versions of the truck. Of course in the process we would love your thoughts / feedback of our product so that we can make any changes if necessary. If you are interested in beta testing this product but don't live near the So-Cal area, AND you understand the basics of checking continuity with a multi-meter, PM me and we can discuss what you will need to do for the install. If anyone has any questions or concerns please PM me!

I want one! I'd volunteer for your beta test, but 1,466.2mi is a little far for a free mic.

We are very close. We primarily need different model trucks to note the microphone pins and colors for the installation instructions. It will also be beneficial to have people (other than myself) use the product and let me know if there is anything they don't like, or would like us to change before we commit to a full production run. If anyone is interested at all please PM me. I can let you know what exactly is involved in installing this initial run. All inquiries are welcome!

Damn, I'd be more than happy (ecstatic even) to test this but I'm in Texas. I'm eagerly looking forward to the proving and deployment of your solution.

Is the intent to be able to reuse the factory wiring down to the head unit?

Exactly, our goal is to design a product that will allow you to tap into a couple wires behind your aftermarket headunit and allow you to use your OEM microphone with your new aftermarket head unit. This will eliminate the need to run a new microphone wire from behind your head unit, up the A pillar, under the headliner, and to the overhead compartment in order to keep the OEM look of having the blue-tooth microphone inside the overhead console between the lights.

Shouldn’t answer for someone else, but I’m pretty sure he’s looking for aftermarket installations.

Oh guess I was confused with the part that said factory JBL but now I am realizing that’s the speakers and the sub in the back not the head unit.

Exactly. Looking for people whose truck came with the JBL system and replaced at least the head unit. Even if they removed the amp and speakers and replaced them with aftermarket, I just need people who have the JBL wiring harness.

Edit: To be clear there is no need for this product if you are using the OEM headunit.

I mean I have been thinking of getting a different head unit. Entune sucks big time. But my mom said I couldn’t turn tricks for extra Tacoma spending money anymore.
