I did a little research here and found mostly the style that goes in the left cubby, or mounts down by your knee.

I'd love to have a button or oem style switch set up down in a blank switch by my ECT button, but I'm not sure if this is possible?

    Anyone have any insight?

Just did some research on the redarc. It's a pretty sweet unit and exactly what I'm looking for. It's a little on the pricy side, but I think it's worth it.

Going to do a little more research on mounting it below my HVAC. I would love to have next to me ETC button. Seems like the most logical place, but I'm not sure the wiring will reach?

I just order my Redarc a few days ago, it's the most OEM looking I can find. Granted it's a bit more, but that's what you are paying for. The option to have a clean OEM setup. ;)

I went with the Reese Towpower brake controller and Tekonsha 3017 brake controller harness. Using this harness and controller it was 100% plug and play into my 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. You can get both of these pieces for under $60 shipped. The controller matches the Tacoma interior/switches very well and was a PERFECT fit into the little pocket as seen. Works great!

Be sure and share your thoughts once you've got the Redarc. I'm interested to hear what people think of it.

I apologize for my ignorance. What are the advantages of the Redarc controller other than the hidden aspect? Research hasn't provided much in reviews or comparisons. Everything I read is all about the hidden aspect of the Redarc. The few reviews on performance and those are sketchy at best.

I chose to upgrade my P2 to a P3 because of features and presets for different trailers. Don't know if the Redarc is even comparable.

I have a Hopkins insight flex mount which has the display and controls separate from the module. Used a blank panel for the pocket on the left to mount the controls. Display is down near were ECT button would be if I had one.
