I've searched and read through every OEM Roof Rack install post to the point that I'm bleary eyed. There are suggestions to bend and not bend the front bracket while installing in order to avoid the gap at the front of the rack. I'd rather avoid the gap if possible so what do I do? HELP me out here Henry (Joe Pesci line from Goodfellas)!

I just installed mine last month. Absolutely no gap. My guess is that some of the users (some) did not remove the front clip that is currently on he DC and holds the front of the ditch strip in. The removal process is scoring and breaking the clip off - if this is not done, then a gap would certainly be introduced.

I read all I the posts too regarding the gap but I saw nothing but an excellent fit on mine.
