i just put on an OEM Rack that i picked up used. I used some RTV to seal the mounting holes. I like it a lot but i noticed something that i have not seen on here. I thought that the cross arms would just swing out and clip in the other side, first i noticed that the arms are diff length, then that there are 2 mount points on the passenger side, then that you cant just swing them out and lock them in, you need to remove each arm, switch the side it mounts on and then put them across? am i missing something os is this the way it works?

    thanks

not that its horribly inconvenient but it seems like they could have made it work easier
