My inverter switch doesn't light up. Only when you push it in it does.

SO, to continue this thread, but in a different direction:

I recently picked up a SPOD Source ( http://www.4x4spod.com/ ), it comes with 6 switches wired to a wiring harness with quick disconnect connecotrs.

I installed the main Source unit in the engine compartment, passed the wire through the firewall (used the exisitng rubber gromit and cut a hole). I have it all setup and am ready to install the six switches but I now need to decide where to put the switches?

I have one open "facorty" hole in the dash next to the miror controls, the other 5 holes are filled witrh factory electronics controls, inverter, diff lock, airbag shutoff, clutch start cancel, fogs. I mounted one of the new illuminated rocker switches in the one "open" factory holes, but I still need to mount 5 more switches, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON LOCATIONS TO MOUNT THE OTHER 5?

    Center console?

    Overhead?

Also, DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SIZE (DIMENSION) OF THE STOCK HOLE SIZE? I want to make a template to use to cut the holes with when I find the right place for them. I think I am going to use a heated plastic cutter to cut the holes ( )

I will post pics when I can find a minute to take some.

    Any feedback welcome!

Anyone have experience with these switches from Waytek?

Dimensions appear to be an exact fit with the Taco OEM slots. They even have that oval thing happening.

I'm going to order one in the next few days to confirm, meanwhile let me know if you've seen/used these before.

If these fit without any dremmel action, they could be a nice and cheaper alternative to the Carlings that we love so much.

Has anyone tried a group buy on these (Scion OEM-style in OP)? I personally need 10, and wondered if we could get the price down to about $9-10 a (lighted) switch with a group buy.

**misterpib is going to comb through his electronic connections (har har) and see if he comes up with a cheaper alternative for all of us, too.

Really old thread revival, but hopefully someone can help me out. I recently purchased a Lightbar from a vendor on TacomaWorld and it included a harness. On the harness, it was already pre-wired to a switch, but I wanted the OEM look and bought the 00550-35976 switch. I cut off the existing switch and uncovered three wires. The colors and designations are white=power in, blue=power out, and black is ground.

Which wires should go to which prongs with this switch? Do all of the prongs need to be plugged in, and do I need to add any other wires to the switch?

Sorry for all of the noob questions, but it seems the more research I do, the more confused I am getting.

I had the same problem. I ended up ditching the wiring harness and making my own. Later on I saw where someone asked your same question and was answered. Check out the okledlightbar GB page and ask over there. Im pretty sure thats where I saw it. Or you could PM the owner, I think his username is zilla or something similar

I've gotten with the owner of okled's and he was extremely helpful with his portion of the product (wiring harness). Now I am mainly just needing help with the switch itself. Thanks

I just got this switch - 00550-35976 and it's roughly 20mm in width and the 2nd gen plug is 15mm wide. Your going to need shave about 4mm off your dash to make it fit. I'm not ready to go there on a 2013 maybe in a few years but it's still new to me, since I haven't done the fog anytime mod would be another reason. Anyone know if I can get a switch from OTRATTW and have it light when on with factory fogs would be helpful.
