Hi, I recently bought a set of TRD seat covers for my 2010 DCSB TRD and I'm having trouble getting the head-rest covers on. I know that technically they aren't made for any year great than 2008 (because of side airbags), so I was wondering...have the headrests changed shape for the newer models? It seems to be the right shape, just a little too small. I can't get the velcro to meet underneath the headrest, and I've been pushing, pulling and tucking as much as possible. Any help or info would be appreciated.

I have the same problem for my 2011...I had a friend squeeze the headrest while I velcroed it...it'll stick if its in place once u adjust the headrest the Velcro wont hold....still trying to figure out a better way...

I don't think they will fit...since 05-07 headrests are smaller...I think everyone else just doesn't run them

I got another reply on another post, and the guy suggested that you just get a wide piece of velcro to bridge the gap that the larger head rest creates. I think I'll try this rather than deforming the headrest by stuffing and cinching. I'll let you all know if it works.

I've decided to do that same and just take them off. I really only want the covers for the seats anyway. I cycle and run quite a bit and get in the truck sweaty all the time and it was starting to get funky, so hopefully these will help.

That was me... Anyway it is possible to get them to fit and stay closed, it just deformed the head rest and was a PITA to do. I recommended a wide piece of double sided Velcro to fill the gap, but I can't say for sure that it will work as I have since switched to Wet Okoles. The head rests will deform if you force them into the covers with no modification. This was not visible until I removed the covers and I'm not certain that they have gone back to their original shape. But you can't tell with the Wet Okoles on anyway.

To those that are running these covers on 08 and up trucks... They are not air bag safe. I would suggest that if you want to have these covers on, that you add some kind of provision to allow the seat mounted air bags to deploy properly in an accident. A slit down the side held closed by a strip or a few tabs of Velcro so its not very noticeable might be worth considering. Just my $.02. The safety issue those create and lack of back seat covers is why I switched to the Wet Okoles. Either way, good luck on the head rests if you try to make them fit.
