I amm needing to change the water pump and valve cover gasket on my 98 Tacoma, 2.7L.

I've heard a lot of talk about not buying anything but Toyota parts.

    Any truth to that?

I just changed my plug wires and plugs for NGK's and a set of Borg Warner premium wires.

They seem to work fine, so I'm not sure what to go for on the water pump and valve cover gasket. Aftermarket is obviously less expensive, but I don't want to save $50 if I have to do the job again in six months...
