Has anyone replaced the OEM non-JBL head unit and interfaced the aftermarket head unit to the factory installed XM Satellite tuner?

He's asking if he can interface his factory satellite tuner with an aftermarket head unit. He won't need to replace the antenna cable unless he replaces the satellite tuner.

Unfortunately you cannot get the sat unit out of the stock head unit. You can buy a sat tuner and hook it up to your aftermarket hu, then make it all clean by using the cable others have posted above to interface the tuner with your stock antenna, instead of trying to route the cheap antenna provided with the tuner.

The OEM sat unit is not integrated into the head unit as far as I am aware.

^ this...it is a separate unit, but the connections are for the OEM radio.

there is no way to integrate the factory xm tuner with an aftermarket radio, you can use the factory antena but basically the stoct tuner speakes a different language than an aftermarket deck so when you install the new deck just ad the aftermarket xm tuner it is cheap.

Does anyone know where to find a cheaper cable like this? Is this the same as above?
    http://www.tss-radio.com/products/lexus-gs-shark-fin-antenna-adapter

    Is this the same thing?
    $8 Fakra SMB C 5005 male plug to HRS GT5-1S grey jack 15cm RG174 pigtail cablehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Fakra-SMB-C...463?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d0da576d7

So its definitely the SFA12M not the SFA12F?
