Wholeheartedly agree.... VERY nice. I like this approach. Probably would look incredible on a Storm Trooper edition as well. Not for me, I'm just not that into the whole B/W thing, but I appreciate the contrast and can see why others would go that route.

Some third party should make complete kits that take their base housing for that vehicle then let you mix and match interchangeable parts to customize your own headlamp set. Ship it to you in pieces then you assemble. Maybe even design it to be reseal-able rather than a "one-time assembly". No more ovens. If only there was someone with manufacturing connections and some know how... :spending:

Will pay any amount of money for you to make me a quad laser set that is *reasonably* plug and play. Even with LEDs, hate my headlight output

What's funny is that I thought about doing this a couple of years ago by making an ABS formed bowl that would have mads FX-R projectors essentially drop-ins. I ended up backing out because I just didn't think there would be a large enough market to offset the manufacturing costs.

In the same boat, would love for him to build my set just like he's building this set

LED bulbs are generally worse in terms of throw than your stock halogens. Upgrade to HID and you'll see a huge difference.

There is such a huge amount of information about HIDs it’s hard to narrow down what is going to be the best solution. Can’t find a good thread or source of info to choose best projector, bulb, harness etc.

Plus, I want laser headlights so every time I turn them on I can go make laser noises under my breath.

I can't help in the laser department yet, but if you are looking for answers to questions when it comes to HIDs (in your case probably drop in's) shoot me a pm. I would be happy to help.

I am actually surprised there aren't more aftermarket companies making plug and play headlights in general. There seems to be some Chinese options (which I have, and aren't terrible I guess), and then the retrofit guys that build them. Not much in between though. A solid set of headlights for $500 would have a huge market I think.

@mesojdm since you mess with these quite a bit - what is the black area in the lower grill side for beyond garnish?
I always see that area untampered in the modifieds. If it's just garnish, why doesn't anyone incorporate that area into their design?

I think he is referring to the lower inside edge of the light. The black somewhat oval area. AS I recall you changed it on your rig to be painted matching the body color and smooth.

Correct. In pictures of the light assembly it looks to be just a garnish screwed-on.
