If using an AGM battery, there should be very little concern with keeping it in the truck. I realize this is personal preference though. If using a non-AGM battery, I would definitely keep it out of the cab.

Whatever questions you have about the OGE systems, Matt (@HeliMedic) will have an answer for...he stands by his product and has excellent customer service. I've had mine for a few months now...system works flawlessly. You won't be disappointed.

second what @seoulja99 Said! mine was one of the first kits. I have had it well over a year now! no problems. currently my second battery is running my fridge. its a lot of money I know, but well worth it and a nice piece of mind knowing you have plenty of power to run all your gear and than some.

Installed a Off-Grid Engineering 2 battery kit in my 16 Tacoma yesterday. Deka AGM batteries. Deep Cycle for the secondary battery. Easy install, quality product Matt puts together.

@HeliMedic do you still sell the USB/12V plug combo kit to install in the bed? I'm not seeing it on the website

These are indefinitely on backorder. No idea when they will be back in stock. Everyone is out of them. I wanted the same thing but found a substitute on Amazon.

I just got a few of them in stock. They're going to be very tough to get for a little while longer. Blue Sea is having a hard time filling backorders.

@HeliMedic New to the site and purchased a 2017 TRD. I will be ordering your kit, from what I see it is the best out there. I sold my Jeep and had the Genesis dual setup, this was a good system, however yours looks superior! I have a couple of questions.......

My main need of the dual battery setup is for my ARB fridge. I was looking at purchasing one of the Blue Sea ST blade fuse boxes, is this where I would hook up my fridge? Second part of that, I do not plan on having a ton of accessories so I think the 6 bank would be fine, what are your thoughts?

-I already have a portable 90 watt suitcase panel from overland solar with an Anderson connection plug. What battery does this get mounted to so I am able to charge both batteries in the system?

-You said you have a couple of the USB/12v combo plugs in stock, is that still the case? If so I would like to order one of those too before they can not be had..............thanks

    Scott

@HeliMedic After doing the research and speaking to several members here who have your system, it was an easy decision to purchase your battery system. I purchased the split battery system for my truck a couple of days ago and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. What is the estimated shipping time? I'm just trying to plan for time to install it. I know that some of the mod products I have ordered have taken a while, since many of the high-end products are produced by smaller companies. I'm willing to wait for quality, but just trying to get an idea. Thanks!

@HeliMedic I am curious if the automatic switch has a need for reset. I jumped in the truck today and the accessory battery had been drained due to a light being left on (down to about 7 volts). When I started up and drove, it just wasn't charging. I looked at the switch and it was just blinking (it was in the auto position). I ended up having to turn it off, then on, then back to auto before it would register and charge the extra battery. It ended up doing fine after. I just don't know what happened, any ideas?

Hi Ryan! Thanks so much for you order. The Tacoma kit continues to be our most popular item. Where some kits may take 2 weeks... we're closer to 3 weeks out on your kit. Feel free to call me if you have any questions.
