    A little a this, a little a that...
Gotcha, thanks for taking the time to clarify for me. So do most folks run a 35 and a 31 with your split system? I always thought it was better to run the same size if you can.

Most folks run two Group 35's. In the interest of equal charging, that is the recommended route. I run a Group 31 as my auxiliary battery and a 35 as my starter. But, I monitory batteries closely and charge them individually when needed.

Who's been waiting for the new Below Deck Panel from Blue Sea?! The new 4356 Panel features a 12 volt socket, Dual USB port, OLED voltmeter, and a built-in 15 amp circuit breaker/ switch.

Off-Grid Engineering will be offering these panels with a high quality, 21 foot, dual 10 AWG wiring harness. The harness will be pre terminated on both ends, making this a plug-and-play installation.

We got our hands on the first batch of these! They are in stock now.

I placed a couple of orders with you on Tuesday, one of which was the aux power outlet you have on your site. I would much rather have the one pictured above. Any chance you can change my order? Order #1208

Is the below deck wiring harness made to go directly to the aux battery or to the blue sea fuse/circuit box? Can it monitor aux battery power if it is connected to the fuse box?

Please send me an email about this and we'll get you upgraded.

The wiring harness is terminated with #10 ring terminals to be attached directly to a Blue Sea Fuse Box. Yes, it will monitor the voltage of whichever battery the fuse box is hooked up to. In the pictures, mine is hooked to my fuse box that is hooked up to my auxiliary battery.

    Plethora of "useless" shit
Just got mine installed and wired up tonight. Thanks for letting me know about the new panel when I was picking it up @HeliMedic  and the wiring harness is super nice and high quality.

(Sorry for the night time pic)

@HeliMedic have you had anyone wanting to place the AUX battery in the cab behide the rear seats ( DC truck )? I was looking at possibly running one there instead of the under the hood. I've seen a few people on here that have done it and that seems like a great place to locate a secondary battery. What are your thoughts or anyone else can chime in?...

I like the idea of the power port. My question is, in climates such South Florida. Whats the longevity as far as water ingress? Just seems that after enough rains. The USB ports would just corrode and short out.

Blue Sea Systems manufactures their products almost strictly for the marine environment and does pretty good job at making sure all of their products can withstand the rigors of the environment. In addition to that, their customer service is pretty outstanding. Im sure if you experienced a problem within a reasonable amount of time, they would take care of the matter for you.

The battery pictured above is a Group 34. Its too big for the passenger side. You'll need a Group 35. You can run that one on the drivers side though.

Damn thanks for the info, that sucks I currently acquired two of these battery's brand new, and it's probably not good if I run different sizes.

You should be fine running the two different sizes. Plus the larger one will be your startering battery, so I believe you should be fine with a smaller AUX battery. If it the other way around you would probably wanna run a smart charger like a red arc bcdc 1225 or something like that so your larger battery would get a proper charge. I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm wrong...

Plus having a larger cranking battery would be beneficial if you have winch and a few lights running off it.
