so this is probably not the right thread but this trip has me thinkin bout extra fuel. i have a camper shell with surf racks so i am lookin at the Rola rooftop basket for 108, and two rotopax 3.5 gal for 89 each. anyone have any thoughts? i dont want to store in the bed because of fumes and i sometimes sleep in there. my bumper is stock.

Dang I wish I was going to be home... I have taken the Mojave trail 3 times now and love it, I take 5 gallons of gas just in case...My friend does it 2wd with no issues...Take plenty of fire wood the nights get very cold and you could get snow in the preserve this time of year.
