I don't think I've watched more than 1 quarter of a game since the Auburn/GA game I haven't really seen anything (in any of the SEC) spectacular that just excited me. I'm no huge football fan to begin with, love to watch it, but could care less if I have other things to do, but when there is no clear-cut Heisman-worthy players to watch, I lose interest fast. Maybe it was just the handful of games I chose to watch, but games didn't seem very competitive.

I'd love to see targeting rules be more critiqued. Players can't even make big plays/tackles anymore without fear of ejection. Don't get me wrong, I understand the purpose, and it should absolutely be a rule; it just needs refining. It makes complete sense to protect defenseless players; it makes little sense to eject a player for making a play on the ball carrier. You can't stop head contact when the ball carrier is leading with their head.

 

They are talking about it on Pat M right now and making all my points.. even highlights the rule book
